Mr Rooter Ky is offering an Apprentice Plumber position designed to train you from day one in residential and commercial plumbing systems. You’ll work alongside licensed plumbers, gaining hands-on experience in installation, service, and maintenance while earning pay.

You don’t need prior plumbing experience; training is provided. You’ll learn codes, blueprints, piping, and safety while building a reliable trade with long-term growth opportunities.

• Interest in plumbing, mechanical systems, and hands-on work
• Basic understanding of tools and mechanical concepts preferred
• Ability to learn plumbing codes, system layouts, and troubleshooting techniques
• Basic math skills for measurements, pipe sizing, and material calculations
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn from experienced plumbers
• Ability to work in residential and commercial environments

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
• Learn and apply plumbing fundamentals including water supply, drainage, venting, and fixture installation
• Help install and service piping systems (copper, PVC, PEX, cast iron, and gas piping as applicable)
• Operate plumbing-specific tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, presses, drain machines, and test equipment under supervision
• Assist with troubleshooting plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, low pressure, and system failures
• Learn to read plumbing blueprints, isometric drawings, and schematics
• Support water heater installations, fixture replacements, and system upgrades
• Perform pressure testing and system inspections to ensure proper operation and code compliance
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas on job sites
• Follow all safety procedures, plumbing codes, and company standards
