Job summary

The School District of Indian River County is seeking a skilled plumber to install and maintain plumbing systems across district facilities. You will read blueprints, install water heaters and pumps, and ensure compliance with building codes to provide a safe, healthy environment for students and staff.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in plumbing, a valid Florida driver's license, and are encouraged to have a journeyman card.

Description

Knowledge of building and plumbing codes. Knowledge of regulations regarding sanitary
plumbing system installations. Ability to install and repair water heaters, water coolers, pumps
and other equipment. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Ability to read and follow
instructions. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to use tools of the trade.
Ability to work as an effective team member. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
Ability to operate power pipe cutting and threading machines.
