The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with an on-call rotation that provides additional compensation. A strong emphasis on teamwork and adherence to HSE policies ensures consistent performance in a demanding healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience.
  • Driver's License required.
  • Ability to lift/carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot plumbing systems in healthcare facilities.
  • Install water systems, piping, and fixtures per blueprints and codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are functioning properly; use plumbing tools as needed.
  • Assist other staff on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete safety inspections on backflow devices.

What You’ll Do
  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber's snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
  • Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Driver's License required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
