Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Plumber to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, testing, and installation of plumbing and distribution systems across our facilities in the Temple area.

The role supports the Engineering and Technical Services function, focusing on safe operation and reliable building systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting water and medical gas systems, installing piping per codes, and training staff for light maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or trade school diploma required.
  • Journeyman plumbing certification required.
  • Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Experience or ability to supervise preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using appropriate tools.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members for light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned.
  • Respond to emergency situations and summon extra help as needed.
  • Follow all HSE policies and participate in related programs and activities.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical and distribution systems throughout a facility.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:
  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
  • Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
