Responsibilities

About the Role:

As a CBRE Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical, and distribution systems throughout a facility.

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do:
  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot water and medical gas supply and distribution systems.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures according to blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber's snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE-related requirements.
  • Complete all HSE programs and activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessments.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and persuade others to reach agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
