Job summary

Oakland Schools is seeking a Project Lead The Way (PLTW) STEM teacher for Hazel Park Junior High. You will deliver Design and Modeling and Medical Detectives courses, integrate math, science, and engineering through project-based learning, and collaborate with PLTW colleagues district-wide.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and 6-12 certification; a master's in Math/Science or instructional technology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Math/Science or Instructional Technology preferred.
• Gr. 6-12 certification required; Math or Science preferred.
• Experience teaching PLTW, CAD or engineering courses at middle/high school level preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs for Education and web 2.0 tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach PLTW courses Design and Modeling and Medical Detectives in Middle/High School.
• Collaborate with Hazel Park Junior High content area and PLTW teachers.
• Develop and implement project-based STEM instruction and assessments.
