Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field.
• Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with an Integrated Science endorsement required.
• Master's degree in science education or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver standards-aligned high school science lessons.
• Teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth/Space Science, or related courses.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through tests and projects.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Foster inquiry, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain student records and monitor progress.
• Communicate with students, families, and staff about progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and support school improvement.
• Participate in student support meetings (IEP, 504).
• Integrate technology and hands-on learning in science concepts.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development.
• Maintain regular attendance.
