Job summary

Pillars Academy is seeking a passionate PLTW Teacher to deliver project-based STEM instruction for grades K-8. You will implement PLTW Launch and Gateway curricula, guiding students through engineering, coding, and biomedical concepts to build inquiry and problem solving skills.

The role emphasizes a collaborative, student-centered classroom with ongoing PLTW training, classroom management, and partnerships with staff and community partners to expand STEM opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM or related field.
• Teaching license or eligibility preferred.
• Completion of PLTW Core Training for Launch and/or Gateway preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PLTW Launch (K-5) and Gateway (6-8) lessons aligned to standards.
• Create engaging, hands-on STEM learning experiences.
• Foster a student-centered environment encouraging collaboration and inquiry.
• Utilize technology and engineering tools to enhance instruction.
• Assess progress and provide feedback to support growth.
• Maintain PLTW equipment and classroom resources safely.
