Job summary

Oakland Human Resources Consortium in Hazel Park, MI is seeking a Project Lead The Way teacher for 8th grade to deliver PLTW Design and Modeling and Medical Detectives, integrating science, technology, engineering and math through project-based learning.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent and the Hazel Park Junior High Principal, you will plan rigorous instruction, manage PLTW equipment and inventory, collaborate with PLTW and content-area teachers, and expand STEM initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in Math and/or Science preferred.
• Gr. 6-12 certification required; Math or Science preferred.
• Experience teaching PLTW, CAD or engineering courses at middle/high school level preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs; web 2.0 tools.
• Knowledge of 3D printing preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PLTW courses: Design and Modeling; Medical Detectives.
• Collaborate with Hazel Park Junior High teachers to implement PLTW curriculum.
• Manage PLTW resources and equipment inventory.
