Job summary

Continental in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking a PLT Curing Scrap Chaser. You will monitor non-conformities in the curing department, coordinate quarantines with the Tire room, and track corrective actions from uniformity and flash audits.

The role requires forklift certification, basic maintenance, and strong communication with setup techs, supervision, operators, and quality teams. The position includes a robust benefits package and opportunities for growth within a global tire manufacturer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• No relocation offered.
• Preferred: manufacturing experience or Associates Degree.

Responsibilities

• Make mold and bladder changes, install recipes, build and tear down bladders, and maintain data input.
• Perform minor mechanical adjustments and emergency repairs; conduct loader quick checks, squeeze audits, cure cycle audits, and cure temperature audits.
• Follow all plant policies, safety policies, and operate a forklift per Safety Department.
• Communicate with setup techs, curing supervision, operators, supplying departments, QA, process engineering, and final finish.
• Keep work areas neat, meet production quality/quantity targets, and perform other duties as directed.
• Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
