Continental in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking a Uniformity Clerk to support tire manufacturing operations. You will read gauges, identify codes, and enter data while maintaining accurate records and following all safety policies.

The role requires forklift certification and lifting 40–70 lb tires, with activities including data entry and routine quality checks. Expect shifts that may include evenings and weekends in a non-climate controlled environment, with emphasis on safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Read gauging devices and identification tags; perform basic math.
• Effective communication with supervision and maintenance of policies.
• Must be forklift certified and adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with supervision and other personnel.
• Follow all plant policies and safety guidelines; operate forklift per Safety Dept. certification.
• Read gauges, read tags, and record data accurately.
• Know tire components and building machines; maintain clean work areas.
• Identify out-of-spec conditions and notify supervision immediately.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping with correct account code.
• Perform other duties as directed by shift supervisor or department manager.
• Lift tires weighing 40–70 lbs.
• Maintain production quality and timely output.
