Job summary

Monogram-Food-Solutions is seeking an entry-level production operator to support all machines in a fast-moving facility. You will back up lead roles, monitor equipment, and assist with changeovers while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3–6 months of operator training, basic math skills, and the ability to read instructions. You will stand for long periods and work in a loud production environment with required PPE.

Qualifications

  • Three to six months of training and experience in operator positions.
  • Must be able to read and interpret simple measurements and instructions.
  • Ability to understand safety procedures and follow GMP guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Start machine and observe operation to detect malfunctions.
  • Stop machine and report malfunction to Supervisor.
  • Make minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, changing dies, setting guides, or clearing damaged product containers.
  • Feed product to conveyors and ensure packaging quality according to specs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organize work area; assist in changeovers and starts.

Position Summary: This position provides support on all machines within the specific production facility. Trained as a back-up Lead and supporting the Lead for success with both employees and production.Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Include the following.Work with Supervisor to ensure proper daily line set-upStart machine and observe operation to detect malfunctionsStop machine and report malfunction to SupervisorMake minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, changing forming and cutting dies, setting guides, or clearing away damaged product containersInspect filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specificationsFeed product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices and unload packaged productEnsure company goals are met through continuous line improvementsAdjust all equipment for efficient operations and product qualityBreak or assist operators as neededRecord data when relieving operatorMonitor waste reductionsAssist in set up of equipment for starts up and change-oversEnsure all safety devices are operable and being usedEnsure all packaging and coding is correct.Work with Maintenance to ensure uptimeMaintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practicesMust wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as providedMust follow all plant food safety and person safety rules and proceduresWork with enthusiasm and sense of urgencyPerform other duties as required or directedBack-up team LeaderEducation, prior work experience and specialized skill and knowledge:Ability to understand and communicate effectively. Three to six months training and experience in operator positions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Physical Environment/working conditions:The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands, fingers and arms to handle, feel and reach; climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and electrical powered equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Equipment and machinery used:Baggers, Extruder, Carton former, Robotics, Wexxar, Tri-Sealer, Fryers Mixers, Printers, Case tapers, Raques, ABC, VCS and Breader(s), Frey, Schnell, V-mag lift, Ballers, Tote dumpers, Metal Detectors, Check Weighers, Motorized Pallet Jack and all other equipment related to the production line.**MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO WORK FOR MONOGRAM APPETIZERS**This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
