Actalent in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Change Control Specialist responsible for analyzing, coordinating, and processing engineering change requests and ECOs within our PLM system. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, software, product management, and compliance to gather all information needed for accurate changes.

This role emphasizes documenting changes, maintaining BOMs, and ensuring traceability and compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing systems engineering changes in new product and/or sustaining engineering projects.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM platforms.
• Proficiency in creating and managing engineering BOMs and ECOs.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, coordinate, and process engineering change requests and change orders in the designated PLM system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, software, quality, product management, compliance) to gather information required for changes.
• Evaluate systems engineering changes in new product and sustaining projects for seamless operations.
• Conduct impact analyses on proposed changes, assessing feasibility, risk, and operational impact.
• Assess change readiness across stakeholders and identify required actions to support implementation.
• Prepare and communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of change-related tasks.
• Create part numbers, assembly numbers, and structured BOMs in PLM.
• Manage change controls for BOMs across software, electronics, mechanical, and systems components; ensure compliance.
• Lead change management strategies to support rollout of changes for various projects.
• Serve as SME on PLM system and change control; coordinate with IT to optimize the system.
• Demonstrate knowledge of NPI systems and sustaining engineering in relation to configuration and change management.
• Support design assurance and compliance by ensuring changes meet standards and requirements.
• Work cross-functionally to balance new product development and sustaining efforts.
• Contribute to reliability by ensuring changes are documented, traceable, and compliant.
