Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled PLC Technician to troubleshoot and repair PLC-driven systems in a fast-paced environment in Saint Augustine, FL. You will program and modify PLC logic, integrate PLCs with HMIs, sensors, and actuators, and collaborate with engineering on system upgrades while mentoring junior technicians.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on PLC experience with ladder logic and a strong focus on reliability improvements.

Qualifications

3–5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and supporting PLC-controlled equipment.
Experience with Ladder Logic programming in Allen Bradley Logix/Studio 5000 is preferred.
Proficiency in programming user-defined tags, Add-on Instructions, and Structured Text is preferred.
Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP) is preferred.
Experience editing HMI applications in FactoryTalk View Studio is preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems and related components.
Program and modify PLC logic using ladder logic and structured text.
Integrate PLCs with HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades and reliability improvements.
Train junior technicians and provide ongoing technical support.
Support mechanical technicians as needed about 30% of the time.
