Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Florida facility. You will proactively perform condition-based and preventive maintenance to OEM standards, diagnose and repair production equipment, and install new systems.

You will analyze line performance data and support improvement initiatives with RCA participation. You should have strong mechanical and electrical skills, experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems, and the ability to read P&ID and electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Experience troubleshooting complex control systems using a PLC.
• Ability to read and understand P&ID and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with CMMS and Production workflow/controls systems.
• Knowledge of packaging, conveyance, liquid and powder manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Ability to be self-managed, scheduling and performing work unsupervised.
• Must understand oral and written instructions in English.
• Excellent safety, job performance and attendance records.
• Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively perform all condition based and preventive maintenance work to OEM standards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair/ replace simple to complex problems in plant production equipment.
• Installation of new equipment.
• Analyze line performance data and provide line improvement support based on findings and analysis.
• Understand the Theory of Operation for all pieces of equipment in area of responsibility.
• Document all work order information within Computer Maintenance Management System per best practices.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Actively participate in Plant Initiatives and Improvement teams
• Support technical training to Operators and specific training to allow them to perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Provide recommendations to spare part stocking levels.
