Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on Controls Technician to support manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot PLC systems, perform preventive maintenance, and implement approved changes to improve equipment uptime and throughput.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years in control systems within manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi‑task in a fast-paced environment. This role requires close collaboration with Maintenance, Engineering, IT, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of control system experience in manufacturing, focusing on troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience reading and updating control schematics and layouts.
• Strong communication with peers, management, contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, document, and assist root-cause analysis of downtime and repair events related to controls.
• Develop ad-hoc PLC changes to support production.
• Maintain electrical schematics and panel layouts with redline updates.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, IT and Operations to improve equipment uptime and throughput.
• Document configuration changes and perform preventive maintenance of PLC systems.
