Job Description

As a PLC / Manufacturing Technician, you would be responsible for:

1. Set-up and maintenance of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on production equipment.
2. Working directly with Engineering to supervise and improve processes for output and waste reduction.
3. Providing leadership and ownership of process performance issues.
4. Reporting to Production Maintenance (engineering) and indirectly to Production.
5. Maintaining all electrical systems used on production equipment.
6. Performing preventive maintenance on designated equipment as per the PM Program or as needed.
7. Assisting Engineering with installation, debugging, startup, and maintaining vision systems.
8. Maintaining equipment logs and documenting process changes.
9. (Sharps Departments Only) Mixing silicone/solvent-based formulations for lubrication, ensuring solids percentage with a viscometer.
10. Ensuring safety, environmental procedures, and Quality System Requirements are followed.
11. Providing relevant equipment and process performance information to Production Supervisors.
12. Leading problem-solving efforts for production equipment.
13. Supporting other maintenance activities as required.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED
• Associate Degree (Mechatronics or similar) preferred
• Extensive knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and electrical-mechanical maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs
• Ability to read and interpret ladder logic
