Job description

Alpha Media - Columbia, SC

is seeking a part-time Remote Technician for upcoming remote broadcasts and events. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, including availability on weeknights and weekends. This position will be approximately 10 hours per week.

The Remote Technician is responsible for assisting the Promotions Coordinator with remotes and events by driving station vehicles, setting up remote equipment, and handling set-up/tear-down of tables, chairs, and station banners. The position may also include occasional in-office duties. The candidate must have a great personality and be willing to meet and greet listeners and attendees. Responsibilities include coordinating raffles and arriving up to one hour before events to ensure proper setup. A valid driver’s license and excellent driving record are essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Setting up station events: raising tents, plugging in sound systems, putting up signage/banners.
2. Managing the events: interacting with listeners, leading games, prize wheels, speaking on the microphone/PA.
3. Communicating effectively with listeners, employees, management, and clients.
4. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Driver’s License and current vehicle with insurance.
• Ability to drive station vehicles (van or SUV).
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Positive attitude.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in radio.
• Previous radio or media experience.
