Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer in Chesapeake, VA to focus on controls and automation for plant machinery. You will troubleshoot, edit, and improve PLC programs while contributing to a modern OT framework and collaborating with a multidisciplinary engineering team.

The role involves on-site work in a manufacturing environment with opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency through PLC and automation solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years in PLCs within automation/industrial settings.
• Experience with Siemens and ControlLogix platforms.
• Experience maintaining/expanding OT/industrial automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve PLC issues for plant machinery.
• Edit and optimize PLC logic to improve performance, reliability, and safety.
• Design, build, and enhance an OT framework for the plant with the engineering team.
