Actalent, Inc. seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to design control and power systems for industrial machinery, program PLCs and drives, and manage electrical parts inventory.

You will create drawings with AutoCAD and coordinate with electrical integrators and mechanical designers. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing control and power systems for industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings and BOM development.

Responsibilities

• Design control and power systems for industrial machinery.
• Program PLCs, drives, and safety controllers.
• Requisition electrical parts and manage inventory.
• Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Consult with electrical integrators during equipment building.
• Develop Bills of Materials in Excel or AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with mechanical designers on interfaces.
• Prepare transmittal letters for drawings and docs.
• Develop wire schedules for field interconnections.
• Conduct FAT and SAT with customers.
• Interface with electrical contractors for fieldwork.
• Provide quotes for electrical costs to customers.
