Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support high-speed automated manufacturing equipment. You will focus on PLC programming, controls troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, and component specification for complex converting machinery.

This role offers ownership over machine improvements and design decisions in a fast-paced production environment. The position is based in Delaware, OH, with a permanent placement in a fully onsite manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with vision systems (Cognex preferred).
• Willingness to work on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Modify and troubleshoot PLC code.
• Make small programming changes to optimize machine operation.
• Identify root causes of machine and controls issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers and OEMs on upgrades and modifications.
• Specify and select electrical components for machinery upgrades.
• Troubleshoot drives, servo motors, sensors, and controls.
