Jobot is seeking an automation-focused technician for a highly automated manufacturing operation in Manteca, CA. You’ll troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, instrumentation, robotics, and electrical systems while supporting upgrades and commissioning.

The role emphasizes hands-on controls work and collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability. Schedule is overnight 2-2-3, with substantial time off across cycles.

Qualifications

What you’ll be doing:

This is a hands-on troubleshooting role supporting highly automated production equipment. You’ll diagnose PLC, VFD, sensor, instrumentation, wiring, and other controls/electrical issues; read electrical schematics; support automation upgrades and equipment commissioning; and partner with maintenance and engineering to improve equipment reliability.

The schedule:

This is a 2-2-3 overnight schedule from 6:00 PM-6:30 AM - work 2 days, off 2, work 3, then the schedule flips the following week.

You’ll work just 7 shifts every 14 days, giving you more full days off than a traditional 5-day workweek.
