Job description

Legacy Talent Search is seeking a skilled PLC Controls Technician role in Eugene. Known for their commitment to quality, safety, and cutting-edge technology, this company offers a dynamic work environment where your technical skills will directly support production success and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), including Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.

  • Program and modify PLCs to optimize equipment performance and integrate new automation processes.

  • Support production by identifying and resolving electrical control issues in real time.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of control systems with mechanical and electrical equipment.

  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new control panels, wiring, and sensors.

  • Conduct regular system inspections and preventative maintenance on controls, drives, and automation equipment.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for all control system changes, repairs, and upgrades.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including NEC and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with industrial PLC systems.

  • Strong working knowledge of Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.

  • Experience with control circuits, I/O systems, HMIs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Journeyman Electrician license or relevant technical training preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a production environment.

  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in manufacturing settings.
