Legacy Talent Search is seeking a skilled PLC Controls Technician role in Eugene. Known for their commitment to quality, safety, and cutting-edge technology, this company offers a dynamic work environment where your technical skills will directly support production success and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), including Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
Program and modify PLCs to optimize equipment performance and integrate new automation processes.
Support production by identifying and resolving electrical control issues in real time.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of control systems with mechanical and electrical equipment.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new control panels, wiring, and sensors.
Conduct regular system inspections and preventative maintenance on controls, drives, and automation equipment.
Maintain accurate documentation for all control system changes, repairs, and upgrades.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including NEC and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with industrial PLC systems.
Strong working knowledge of Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
Experience with control circuits, I/O systems, HMIs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting.
Journeyman Electrician license or relevant technical training preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a production environment.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in manufacturing settings.
