Job summary

Advanced Giga Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Controls PLC Programming Engineer to develop control code for modular data center infrastructure. You will implement sequences of operation, build HMI screens, and support FAT with rigorous testing and documentation.

You will work with Siemens TIA Portal and Ignition platforms, handle EtherNet/IP, Modbus, BACnet, and contribute to robust, testable code across multiple module sets in a hands-on, on-site role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PLC development on industrial or building systems.
• Siemens TIA Portal mastery strongly preferred.
• HMI development experience with Ignition Perspective or Ignition Vision.
• Able to translate control narratives and P&IDs into working code.
• Industrial protocols: EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet.
• Disciplined engineering: structured code, version control, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC code for module control systems from control narratives and P&IDs.
• Build and maintain HMI applications: overview graphics, trends, alarms.
• Implement redundancy and failure-mode logic (N+1, sensor voting).
• Document integrations: Modbus/BACnet to equipment; client-facing interfaces.
• Parameterize code across module sets for scalable deployment.
• Maintain version control, change logs, and configuration records.
• Support FAT: run tests, fix findings, retest until pass.
• Simulate and bench-test logic before shop testing.
