Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Austin, TX seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer to support deployment and commissioning of automation systems in manufacturing environments. You will program and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs with TIA Portal, integrate G120/G150 drives, and work with Profisafe safety blocks.

This hands-on role requires on-site presence and collaboration with AMR teams to ensure rapid production ramp-up.

Qualifications

Experience commissioning and deploying automation systems in manufacturing.
Proficient with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.
Experience with drives or safety systems (Profisafe) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Commission and deploy automation systems within manufacturing environments.
Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal.
Support integration and startup of drives (G120 / G150) and related control systems.
Work with Profisafe / safety PLC systems including safety blocks and configurations.
Diagnose and resolve system issues during commissioning and production ramp-up.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting AMR systems and material flow.
Take ownership of systems following onboarding and ramp (2-3 week training period).
Provide on-site support and rapidly adapt to evolving production needs.
