Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial control systems and PLC-based automation.
• Strong ability to design electrical schematics, loop and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with control panel layout/design using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC-based control systems, including hardware selection and panel integration.
• Create detailed diagrams for instrumentation and control systems.
• Develop control panel layouts with power distribution and thermal considerations.
• Specify and integrate field instrumentation with PLC systems.
• Produce electrical design packages, including BOMs and installation details.
• Support installation, checkout, and commissioning of systems.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate panel builds and wiring.
• Perform I/O checkout, loop checks, and system validation testing.
• Troubleshoot hardware, wiring, and instrumentation issues.
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements for nuclear/fusion environments.
• Support integration with higher-level control and data systems (SCADA/DCS).
