Job summary

Norsk Hydro's Hydro Extrusions division seeks a skilled PLC programmer for our Mountain Top, PA facility to program and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and work with engineering teams on upgrades.

The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on experience, ladder logic, Allen-Bradley Logix/Studio 5000, and Ethernet/IP and FactoryTalk View proficiency. A multi-craft role with ~30% mechanical support is expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on professional experience programming, troubleshooting and supporting PLC-controlled equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to modify, troubleshoot, and validate PLC ladder logic for equipment improvements and reliability.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley Logix/Studio 5000 Software and HMI applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform programming and safety configuration of PLC-controlled systems.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic in industrial environments with minimal supervision.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems; integrate PLCs with HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades and improvements.
• Train junior technicians and provide technical support.
• Support Continuous Reliability Improvement initiatives.
