Job summary

Hoya is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and programming/maintaining PLCs and HMIs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
• 3–5 years maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
• Experience programming/troubleshooting/maintaining PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi or equivalent).
• Knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and control systems.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Program, modify, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and automated controls.
• Maintain machine calibrations, tooling changes, and setup
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and CMMS entries.
• Communicate status and repair timelines to production leads/supervisors.
• Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and downtime reduction initiatives.
