Job summary

Sunoco LP seeks an automation specialist to implement and support PLC-based systems at loading and off-loading terminals. You will configure, program, and maintain PLCs, interfaces, and related automation software in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, developing system changes, troubleshooting complex issues, and coordinating with vendors. Travel up to 20% and willingness to work at remote sites are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IT or related field preferred
• Experience with PLC programming and terminal automation systems is valued
• Available for 24x7 support and willing to travel up to 20% of time

Responsibilities

• Configure, program, implement and maintain PLC systems and interfaces
• Collect and document requirements for new/modified solutions
• Develop automation changes and enhancements
• Provide 24/7 critical system support and issue resolution
• Coordinate with vendors to meet service levels and objectives
• Bridge gaps between IT and operations teams and maintain broad IT/process knowledge
