Job summary

ONEOK is seeking an Automation Technician/PLC programmer to support maintenance and optimization of plant and pipeline control systems. You will collaborate with asset stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, and Control Room to ensure reliable DCS/PLC performance and effective modification of control systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with BPCS, SIS, DCS, and PLCs; programming of necessary logic; and development of standard procedures while coordinating with operators, process

Qualifications

• 3-5 years industrial programming or strong electrical/instrumentation skills.
• Experience modifying, maintaining and installing process control software and hardware.
• Knowledge of BPCS, SIS, DCS/PLC and HMIs; ability to read drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of BPCS, SIS, DCS, and PLC platforms.
• Develop and review control narratives to ensure safety, operations and compliance.
• Liaise with project teams and 3rd party vendors for system enhancements.
• Program maintenance and archiving; ensure latest programs are available.
• Support lifecycle maintenance of DCS/PLC systems and provide after-hours support.
