Job summary

ThyssenKrupp Presta AG in the USA seeks an automation solutions expert for PLC programming and visualization development for small to mid-sized BIW project teams. You will program PLC modules, enable data communication to robots and process devices, and support field commissioning and fault analysis.

The role requires experience with VW standards and familiarity with UL/ASME requirements in the US; weekend work is possible. Training customers and preparing documentation are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning and fault analysis of PLC programs.
• Plant installation to VW standards; USA UL/ASME awareness is a plus.
• Ability to create or adapt PLC programs and visualizations to customer standards.
• Ability to perform cycle-time measurements and data analysis from SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Create or adapt PLC programs and visualizations for small to medium projects.
• Program PLC modules for data communication to robots and devices.
• Support commissioning, diagnose PLC faults, and train customers.
• Attend automation meetings and drive necessary actions for projects.
• Represent tkAB on site in weekly customer status meetings.
