Job summary

ThyssenKrupp North America in Blythewood, SC seeks an automation specialist to design, program and integrate PLC modules and SCADA visualizations for small- to mid-size projects. You will work within our digitalization team to deliver on-site solutions that meet customer standards.

Responsibilities include commissioning, fault diagnosis, producing training materials, and supporting project management with weekly site reviews.

Qualifications

Experience with VW standards / VASS 6; USA experience with UL, ASME and local standards advantageous.
Track commissioning progress, define actions and initiate implementation.
Prepare acceptance activities with the customer.
Participate in automation meetings and derive necessary actions for the project.
Track the list of actions (LOP) and follow up as required.
Represent tkAB on site in weekly status meetings with the customer.
Perform cycle-time measurements and propose changes to reach targets.
Analyze SCADA data and implement necessary improvements.

Responsibilities

As a specialist for automation solutions, you are an important part of our digitalization team.
Create or adapt PLC programs and visualizations per customer standards for small/medium projects.
Develop and program PLC modules for data communication to robots and process devices.
Accompany commissioning and perform error analysis of programs.
Diagnose and rectify PLC faults.
Act as technical contact for project management.
Create training documents and train customers in production and maintenance.
