Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) seeks an EXL TK/K Instructor to provide engaging, play-based learning for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students in BACR after-school and enrichment programs. You will create a safe, nurturing environment that supports social-emotional growth and a love of learning, working with families and school staff.

Responsibilities include planning engaging activities, differentiating instruction, and maintaining routines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher and 48 college units completed.
• Experience with young children in education or childcare.
• Ability to build positive relationships with diverse families.
• Ability to supervise groups of young children safely.
• Proficiency with email, Google Workspace, and documentation systems.
• Criminal background, TB clearance, Mandated Reporter certs completed.
• Availability for after-school hours through mid-June.
• Ability to communicate in English with students and families.
• Basic English reading proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming environment for TK/K students.
• Support social-emotional growth through relationship-building.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse developmental needs.
• Plan play-based learning that supports early literacy and numeracy.
• Collaborate with families and school staff.
• Maintain attendance records and program documentation.
• Arrive prepared with materials and consistent routines.
