Job summary

New Berlin Hills Golf Course in New Berlin, WI is seeking a part-time Player Assistant for a seasonal 6-month role at $10.00 per hour. You will help start play, explain rules, and ensure smooth pace of play while assisting guests and maintaining course conditions.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. This position offers benefits eligibility and is hosted by Troon, a global leader in golf management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; one to three months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Starts players on the first tee, explaining the rules of play for the day.
• Maintains an accurate starting sheet to know players' whereabouts.
• Cues groups to move to the first tee and ensures no more than one group is on the tee at a time.
• Tours the course, assisting players to maintain the posted pace of play.
• Checks restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintains proper spacing on the course to avoid delays.
• Completes the golfer tracking report daily.
• Reminds players of cart rules for the day.
• Repairs ball marks and removes trash; replaces hazard stakes or signage.
• Communicates with the Golf Shop and Starter regularly.
• Monitors the course and assists golfers; reports issues to Head Professional promptly.
• Maintains safe work practices and regular attendance.

New Berlin Hills Golf Course, located in New Berlin, WI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Player Assistant! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Pay:

$10.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Starts players on the first tee, explaining the rules of play for the day.
• Maintains an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Cues groups to move to the first tee and ensures no more than one group is on the tee at one time.
• Tours the golf course, assisting players when needed to maintain the posted pace of play for the day.
• Checks the restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintains proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.
• Completes the golfer tracking report on a daily basis.
• Reminds players of the cart rules of the day.
• Repairs ball marks and collects any trash that may be on the course. Replaces any hazard stakes or directional signage.
• Communicates with the Golf Shop and Starter on a regular basis.
• Monitors the course and ensures customer satisfaction. Assists golfers when needed.
• Reports all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Valid driver's license required.

Must be able to work in a wide range of weather conditions, including warm, cold, dry, and wet.
