Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Special Processes Specialist to join our new manufacturing site in Pendergrass, Georgia. You will oversee plating and wastewater treatment, ensuring process stability, environmental compliance, and high product quality across manufacturing stages.

Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, maintenance, and EHS to optimize performance, drive continuous improvement, and support regulatory reporting. Train operators and maintain precise process documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting industrial plating, metal finishing, surface treatment, chemical processing, wastewater treatment, or related manufacturing operations.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing chemical process systems in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment, chemical treatment systems, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience developing process documentation, operating procedures, technical specifications, and work instructions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using structured root cause analysis methodologies.
• Cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for plating and wastewater treatment across the facility.
• Monitor and optimize process performance to ensure quality, throughput, and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain process specifications, procedures, controls, and work instructions.
• Support operation of plating systems, including concentration control, bath maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor wastewater treatment for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality, environmental, and equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with quality teams to address internal and customer quality concerns.
• Train operators and production personnel on processes and documentation.
