Parker Hannifin is seeking a Plating Department operator responsible for setting up and running machinery used to clean and plate products. You will follow detailed instructions, sequence parts for rectifier control, and complete related SPC and labor paperwork.

The role requires basic math, reading skills, and familiarity with simple measuring tools. Attention to safety and environmental rules is essential for day-to-day duties in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Have a high degree of initiative.
• Good math and reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to use simple measuring instruments, such as a caliper and scale.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all machinery and equipment used to clean and plate products.
• Work from analysis, prints, written, and verbal instructions.
• Sequence sizes and shapes of parts with respect to rectifier control to maintain quality.
• Complete paperwork in the Plating Department (SPC recording, machining activity reports, move tickets, labor reporting).
• Develop visual inspection techniques and add chromate as needed to maintain color and brilliance.
• Identify parts requiring movement during plating and parts requiring partial rotation.
• Perform all material handling in the Plating Department.
• Work safely and report unsafe conditions or environmental risks to leadership immediately.
