Job summary

MPC Plating, located in Brooklyn, Ohio, is seeking a Plating Line Operator to monitor and maintain the automatic plating line, ensuring quality and consistency of all plated parts. This role involves chemical analysis, tank maintenance, filtration monitoring, and strict adherence to safety and environmental standards to support efficient production operations.

Shift opportunities include 2nd and 3rd shifts with overtime frequently required, including Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
• Strong ability to read and fill in checklists, correspondence, and procedure documentation.
• Commitment to following all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain plating tanks, weirs, solution levels, air agitation, and filtration systems.
• Perform chemical additions and maintain proper formulation of plating solutions.
• Conduct temperature checks and pH testing according to established procedures.
• Monitor, clean, and replace filtration and regeneration systems per maintenance schedules.
• Oversee recovery systems and perform cleaning or maintenance as required.
• Interpret and follow written, verbal, diagram, and schedule-based instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area around chemical storage, filtration, regeneration, and recovery equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete required daily checklists and documentation.
• Assist other plating technicians as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
