Job summary

Rightway Fasteners in Columbus, Indiana, is hiring a Team Leader for the Plating department. The role requires coordinating team members, starting lines, scheduling, and performing quality checks on parts. You will train new hires, assist with 5S and continuous improvement, and back up for breaks while maintaining safety.

Strong communication, ability to lift 25–50 lbs, and the stamina to stand 8–12 hours are essential; forklift operation is a plus and 2+ years in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred; 2+ years manufacturing experience.
  • Able to read and understand kanbans.
  • Able to lift between 25 and 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 8–12 hours.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the supervisor in coordinating the activities of team members.
  • Lead line start up and help maintain daily schedule.
  • Perform quality checks on produced parts.
  • Train new employees and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Record keeping of parts and process information.
  • Back up for absences and break relief; assist with safety.
  • Operate forklift if licensed and follow 5S practices.
