Job summary

Protingent is seeking a Platform Validation Engineer for a contract role in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will perform end-to-end validation of server platforms, bring-up, diagnostics and regression closure, while understanding system dependencies across HW/SW/FW.

Strong Python/Shell automation and BMC/Redfish experience are required. We value deep hardware and Linux troubleshooting fundamentals, plus the ability to diagnose issues and drive fixes through to resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience validating server platforms at L10 level and end-to-end validation.
• Ability to write validation scripts in Python/Shell from scratch.
• Hands-on BMC/Redfish server management and diagnostics.

Platform Validation Engineer

Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Platform Validation Engineer.

Job Qualifications

We need a true L10/System-Level Validation Engineer, not someone focused primarily on L6 component-level testing. Experience validating complete server/platform systems, including server bring-up, integration, diagnostics and end-to-end validation. Candidate should be able to understand system dependencies and independently identify where failures originate. Experience with third-party/OEM servers and internal/proprietary drives is highly relevant.

Python / Shell Test Automation - Must Have

• Candidate must be capable of writing validation/test scripts from scratch. Should not be limited to executing existing scripts or making minor modifications. Must be able to independently develop, debug and maintain Python/Shell automation. Should be comfortable creating test cases, executing validation, analyzing failures and improving automation.
• Must have BMC / Redfish Hands-on experience with BMC, preferably Redfish/API-based server management and diagnostics.
