Job summary

Experis Technology Group is seeking a Validation Lab Technician in Austin, TX, onsite to support server CPU post-silicon validation. You will work with high-speed IO domains and perform platform setup, analyzer configuration, and regression testing.

The ideal candidate has hands-on lab experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and basic scripting (C/C++, Python) with clear communication in English. This role offers a fully onsite lab environment and opportunity to contribute to platform

Responsibilities

• Support server CPU post-silicon validation across PCIe, CXL, USB, and related domains.
• Set up platforms, attach cards, backplanes, CPUs, and cooling equipment.
• Configure PCIe/CXL analyzers for Gen1–Gen6 validation speeds.
• Maintain lab hardware and host systems for stable test runs.
• Run weekly regression tests and report results to validation teams.

What's the Job?

• Support Server CPU post-silicon validation for high-speed IO domains including PCIe, CXL, USB, hotplug, multi-socket, system manageability, reset, and volume validation.
• Perform platform setup and reconfiguration, including attaching PCIe/CXL cards or devices to server CPU validation platforms, installing backplanes, risers, interposers, CPUs into sockets, and cooling apparatus.
• Set up and configure PCIe and CXL protocol analyzers for Gen1 through Gen6 speed validation.
• Maintain lab computers and lab host systems to ensure stable test execution.
• Execute weekly regression testing and collect/report results and progress for validation teams.

What's Needed?

• Experience working with server CPU validation platforms, including validation open/close chassis platforms.
• Familiarity with server operating systems such as Windows Server, Ubuntu, and RedHat.
• Comfort navigating and configuring systems through BIOS and related platform settings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to isolate and address test execution failures.
• Ability to perform basic programming/scripting work (C/C++, Python, Perl, or similar) and communicate clearly in English.
