Job summary

AMD is seeking a Platform Thermal Leader in Santa Clara, CA to guide system-level thermal design for the Server Platform Thermal Mechanical group. You will represent, debug, and triage thermal issues, and collaborate with SOC architects on power and thermal modeling to ensure robust performance.

You will drive innovations, lead cross-functional teams, and coordinate validation across bring-up, validation, and production phases.

Qualifications

• Extensive CFD modeling knowledge for thermal design.
• Experience with CFD tools IcePak, Flotherm, and OpenFOAM is preferred.
• Board/platform debugging and validation strategy experience is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starting, able to drive tasks to completion independently.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical innovation to improve validation and cross-functional initiatives.
• Debug issues during bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
• Coordinate across multiple teams to validate and optimize features on time.
• Collaborate with supporting technical teams and engage in software/hardware modeling frameworks.
• Lead a collaborative approach across teams to achieve objectives.
