Job summary

OCLC seeks a Technical Manager to lead technical teams within the Wise platform, balancing delivery, quality, and strategic objectives. You will partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Support to ensure reliable, scalable platform capabilities that meet customer outcomes.

You will drive talent development, operational excellence, and cross‑team coordination while guiding architectural alignment and long‑term sustainability across the product.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams in a software/SaaS/platform delivery environment.
• Demonstrated people leadership including coaching, development, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Experience managing complex projects, cross‑functional initiatives, and operational risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Team Leads and senior technical professionals across multiple teams.
• Foster leadership capability through mentoring and succession planning.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support hiring, workforce planning, and performance management activities.
• Ensure successful delivery of platform enhancements and operational commitments.
• Oversee capacity planning, prioritization, and cross‑team dependencies.
• Drive automation, standardization, and reusable solutions.
• Promote sound technical decision‑making balancing delivery, quality, and cost.
• Communicate progress and risks to technical and business stakeholders.
