Job summary

G Adventures is seeking a Director of Platform Systems to lead the evolution of its software and infrastructure platforms. You will direct software engineering and DevOps teams to develop a customer-centric platform for booking, managing, and operating trips across the G Travel Community portfolio, while architecting scalable AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software development, ideally in travel or related industries
• 10+ years of technical management experience
• 5+ years of AWS solutions architecture & services
• Foundational understanding of API-driven architectures and scalable systems

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering and DevOps teams to build a customer-centric platform for booking, managing, and operating trips across G Travel Community.
• Define architecture, design, and tooling for AWS infrastructure hosting custom applications.
• Mentor managers and senior contributors; grow offshore teams and align with technology strategy.
• Evolve SDLC practices, implement metrics for development and delivery.
• Oversee multi-region network design, security practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to drive technology vision and roadmaps.
