Project Engineering at V2X: Project Engineering is a specialized field within engineering that focuses on planning, managing, and executing projects. Role Overview: Join a dynamic team driving innovation in tactical defense solutions! V2X seeks a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams within our Platform Systems Integration (PSI) program area in Indianapolis, IN. You will play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet mission-critical objectives while mentoring future leaders. You will own the technical execution of development projects, ensuring solutions are delivered on schedule and within budget. Collaborating across Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineering, as well as Production, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance teams, you will ensure success across all development phases and build strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical leadership and coordination for development projects.
2. Support all phases of development, ensuring solutions meet requirements and cost targets.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support technical deliverables.
4. Create and maintain project plans, tailoring them as needed.
5. Coordinate budgets, staffing, schedules, and organizational charts.
6. Lead Agile processes, creating backlogs, writing user stories, and managing tasks in tools like Azure DevOps.
7. Present technical and programmatic data to customers and leadership.
8. Support proposal development through engineering estimates, BOEs, and technical volumes.
9. Mentor team members to foster growth and development.

Required Skills:

1. Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) and ability to collaborate across all levels.
2. Knowledge of Systems Engineering, including Requirements Management, IV&V, and life cycle management.
3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
4. Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project.
5. Ability to monitor and measure project performance.
6. Willingness to obtain or maintain a US Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Windows.
8. Ability to synthesize technical data for decision-making.
9. Basic understanding of technical documentation like drawings and specifications.

Desired Skills:

1. Ability to organize and lead project teams throughout the development cycle.
2. Technical leadership including resolving complex challenges.
3. Experience with Agile teams and backlog management in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
4. Proposal development experience, including BOE creation.
5. Ability to perform in dynamic, team-based environments.
6. Operational understanding of requirements and risk mitigation.
7. Proficiency with CAD tools like CREO.
8. Familiarity with testing, IEEE 15288, and AS9100 standards.
9. Customer-facing experience with effective communication and delivery.
10. Experience with 15-2 compliant bids.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in STEM; MBA or Master’s preferred.
2. PMP certification is a plus.
