V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Platform System Integration (PSI) Integrated Product Team Lead - Senior II Project Engineer to join our team!

Project Engineering at V2X: Project Engineering focuses on planning, managing, and executing engineering projects, combining technical expertise with project management skills to meet objectives. It requires understanding the project life cycle and its deliverables, with experienced engineers leading development and execution.


Role Overview: Join a dynamic team driving innovation in tactical defense solutions! V2X seeks a motivated Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams within our Platform Systems Integration (PSI) program in Indianapolis, IN. You will own the technical execution of development projects, ensure innovative solutions are delivered on schedule and within budget, and mentor future leaders. Collaborating across Systems, Hardware, Software, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams, you will support all development phases and build strong customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical leadership for development projects.
  • Support all development phases, ensuring solutions meet requirements and cost targets.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technical deliverables.
  • Create and maintain project plans, including tailoring for specific needs.
  • Coordinate budgets, staffing, schedules, and organizational charts.
  • Lead Agile processes: create backlogs, write user stories, manage tasks in Azure DevOps.
  • Present technical and program data to customers and leadership.
  • Assist in proposal development: assemble estimates, prepare Basis of Estimates (BOEs), contribute to technical volumes.
  • Mentor team members to foster growth.

Required Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and collaboration across all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering, including Requirements Management, IV&V, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools like Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to monitor and measure project performance.
  • Willingness to obtain or maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Windows.
  • Basic understanding of technical documentation, drawings, specifications.
  • Ability to synthesize technical and program data for decision-making.

Desired Skills:


  • Experience leading project teams through the development lifecycle.
  • Technical leadership, resolving complex challenges.
  • Experience with Agile teams, backlog management, Azure DevOps.
  • Proposal development, BOE creation, volume writing.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, team-based environments.
  • Operational understanding of requirements and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools like CREO.
  • Familiarity with testing, IEEE 15288, AS9100 standards.
  • Customer-facing experience with effective communication and delivery.
  • Knowledge of 15-2 compliant bids.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's in STEM; MBA or Master's in Engineering preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.

Experience:


  • 8+ years with Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
