Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Platform Systems Engineering Co-op for Spring/Summer 2027 to work on CH-47F Chinook cockpit avionics for the CTES program. You will join the platform systems engineering team and contribute to design, development, integration, and test of platform and software applications.

You will learn requirements capture, allocate requirements, assist in test procedure creation, and participate in on-site testing within an Agile team using DOORs, JIRA,

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or STEM and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn requirements capture and peer review for CH-47F cockpit avionics for CTES program.
• Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
• Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements.
• Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment.
• Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers.
