Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Software Engineering Co-op to join the Boeing Platforms Engineering team. You will contribute to real-time embedded software across processing platforms for commercial avionics and cockpit displays.

You will support design, development, and verification of flight-critical software while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role emphasizes hands-on learning and delivering high-quality software within schedule and cost constraints.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Must be willing to work 40 hours per week.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by start of internship/Co-op.
• Experience gained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and maintenance of flight-critical embedded software.
• Contribute to cross-functional teams responsible for real-time embedded software development and verification.
• Assist with requirements specification, test case development, and verification/test execution.
• Work with desktop PCs and target hardware in a lab to deliver a high-quality software product on schedule and within budget.
