Job summary

Cloudflare’s Product Platform Tools team builds and operates the internal support and admin platform that powers customer-facing and operational teams at scale. As a Systems Engineer, you will design and build backend services, infrastructure, APIs, and integrations that enable enterprise-grade workflows.

You will collaborate with engineering, Support, Legal, and Security to meet operational needs, ramp into legacy codebases, and improve security posture and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production backend services at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 / OIDC / JWT / RBAC and secure design.
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate backend services, APIs, and integrations for internal platform.
• Onboard internal apps onto the platform and ensure scalable integrations.
• Collaborate with Support, Legal, and Security to meet operational needs.
• Own and improve the platform's security and access control posture.
• Ramp quickly into legacy codebases and improve reliability and scalability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews.
• Contribute to observability and engineering standards across teams.
