Job summary

LaunchTech, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Platform System Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role requires leadership to guide a team in developing innovative solutions for critical space-based defense systems, emphasizing security, efficiency, and sustainability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage DoD architecture frameworks, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and policies while supporting program

Qualifications

• Six or more years of general full-time work experience (may be reduced with advanced education).
• Three or more years of experience in IT systems engineering or architecture in a DoD or commercial environment.
• Fundamental understanding of Requirements Analysis and Management principles.
• Proficiency with the System Engineering V-Model and engineering lifecycle.
• Active DoW Secret Security Clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design platform solutions for enterprise services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers.
• Lead and collaborate with engineers, system administrators, cybersecurity, test teams, project managers, software developers, and network engineers to ensure compliant integration.
• Document designs and create implementation and test plans for sustainment teams.
• Support lifecycle activities from initiation through requirements management and task execution.
• Define tasks and schedules with project managers to meet milestones.
