Job summary

Johnsonville Sausage, LLC is seeking an IT Platform Systems Engineer to configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise IT platforms supporting Finance. You will work with cloud services, containers, and automation to improve reliability, performance, and security across environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with security teams, observability implementation, and proactive bottleneck resolution, with on-call duties and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years IT platform solutions experience including configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring and deployment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain IT platforms and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize IT infrastructure.
• Implement observability: metrics, logs, traces, health checks, alerts.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and remediate issues.
• Embed security by design and work with security teams on vulnerabilities.
• Engineer automation for provisioning, configuration, remediation, and routines.
• Maintain configuration management and desired-state tooling.
• Create documentation for platform configurations and processes.
• Respond to platform-related issues and participate in on-call rotations.
